Most of this series are done on Arches cold press watercolor paper. Their sizes range from approximately 9x12--10x14
I am using real specimens as models. So far, the bedbug is the only one that was done from a photograph.
The praying mantis was a "catch and release". I find myself developing an odd fondness as observe and sketch them.
